Public power utilities are involved in a variety of energy innovation efforts — ranging from exploring emerging technologies and their applications, developing programs that encourage customer adoption of new energy technologies, and designing rates that support an equitable and affordable modernization of the electric grid and how people use energy.
To support utilities in these efforts, the American Public Power Association creates resources and events to help public power professionals learn about emerging technologies, understand trends and regulations, and offers research and development funding through the DEED program.
