We provide education to thousands of individuals from public power utilities, joint action agencies, state and regional associations, and industry partners. Our events attract over 4,400 virtual attendees and more than 4,800 in-person participants, offering a variety of opportunities to meet and connect with peers from across the country.
All APPA Academy events meet the criteria for providing credits required to maintain certification/licensure for professionals, including engineers, CPAs, lawyers, and human resources practitioners.*

APPA can help you make inroads with decision makers and influencers at the nation’s 2,000+ community-owned utilities, as well as with joint action agency and state/regional association professionals.
Bringing public power leaders, as well as industry experts, together to share ideas and learn from each other is extremely valuable to any public power employee. Knowing that all public power utilities experience similar issues, regardless of location or size, allows for collaboration that wouldn’t normally happen.
The APPA Academy training programs are tailored to our industry needs. It has been an excellent resource for continuing education and keeping up with the latest trends and technologies. I found the CEO & Utility Managers Roundtable an excellent investment of time to ensure our strategic direction is on the right path.
Attendees of American Public Power Association meetings agree to abide by the APPA Code of Conduct. If attendees engage in unacceptable behavior as outlined in the Code of Conduct, the Association may take any action it deems appropriate, including but not limited to, expulsion from the current and future meetings, with no warning or refund.
