Cancellation, Refund, and Substitution Policy

Registrants who cancel in writing by the deadline (June 22, 2026) are entitled to a refund of their registration fee, minus a $100 cancellation fee. Registrants who cancel after June 22 will not receive a refund, but attendee substitutions will be allowed for the 2026 APPA National Conference and preconference seminars only. Registrants and no-shows who do not cancel on or before specified dates are responsible for the full registration fee and are not entitled to a refund of their registration fee.

Code of Conduct

Attendees of American Public Power Association meetings agree to abide by the APPA Code of Conduct. If attendees engage in unacceptable behavior as outlined in the Code of Conduct, the Association may take any action it deems appropriate, including, but not limited to, expulsion from the current and future meetings with no warning or refund.

PacifiCorp on Feb. 17 announced it has entered into an agreement with Portland General Electric Company to sell its wind, natural gas generation and distribution assets and infrastructure in the state of Washington for $1.9 billion, subject to customary purchase price adjustments.
Reliability
U.S. Secretary of Energy Chris Wright on Feb. 17 renewed an emergency order that directs the Midcontinent Independent System Operator, in coordination with Consumers Energy, to ensure that the J.H. Campbell coal-fired power plant in West Olive, Mich., remains available for operation "and to employ economic dispatch to minimize costs for the American people," the Department of Energy said.
