The Academy's four certificate programs are designed to develop special skills in core areas of utility operations. Each program consists of required courses — that can be taken at multiple Academy conferences, Institutes, and webinars — as well as a final exam and a practical project submission. 

Key Accounts Certificate Program
Today’s quickly evolving electric industry requires key accounts front-line employees to have specific skills, technical knowledge and training. Coursework is offered in-person, in-house, or through a self-paced online option.

Program covers recruiting, serving, and retaining critical commercial and industrial customers.

Public Power Manager Certificate Program
The Public Power Manager Certificate Program is designed to help leaders provide organizational direction as they navigate a changing and complex industry environment.

Program focuses on industry challenges, leadership development, organizational direction, and change management.

Customer Service Management Certificate Program
Receive practical training and guidance on building and sustaining a culture of outstanding customer service. Learn from real-world examples, get tools and templates, practice skills, and network with public power peers from across the nation.

Program covers customer service operations and management, new technologies, and collections practices.
