The Florida Municipal Electric Association announced the winners of the 2025 Safety Awards. The recipients were honored for their continued commitment to safe work practices during the past year.

Ormat Technologies on March 12 announced the commencement of commercial operations at the Shirk energy storage facility, an 80-megawatt/320-megawatt hour Battery Energy Storage System located in Visalia, California.

Minnesota public power utility ALP Utilities completed construction on its new Operations Center in September. With final project costs now confirmed, the facility was delivered approximately $1.4 million under the approved budget.
