Google will invest $40 billion in Texas that will boost cloud and artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure, with the development of data center facilities, programs to strengthen energy capacity and affordability, and workforce training in the state.
This is Google's largest investment in any state in the U.S., a news release from Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said.
The Governor was joined at the announcement by the U.S. Deputy Secretary of Energy James Danly, Google Global Head of Data Center Energy Amanda Peterson Corio, and other Google leaders and state officials.
The move is part of Google's "Investing in America" initiative.
