AMP recently welcome the Borough of Chambersburg, Pa., as the newest AMP member.
The borough is located in south central Pennsylvania, just 24 miles west of Gettysburg. The borough’s electric system serves approximately 11,700 meters.
“As the largest public power system in Pennsylvania, it is important that the Borough of Chambersburg forge strategic partnerships,” said Allen Coffman, Chambersburg Council President. “This partnership with AMP will enhance the delivery of services to our community while ensuring that we are providing some of the lowest retail utility rates in the Commonwealth.”

AMP is the nonprofit wholesale power supplier and services provider for more than 130 Members in the states of Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia; as well as the Delaware Municipal Electric Corporation, a joint action agency with eight Delaware municipal members.
