Event Overview
Cybersecurity belongs to the whole utility, not just IT. You are a key line of defense in keeping your organization secure. Threat actors know this, and they frequently target non security focused employees for that very reason. This could be finance, HR, customer service, communications, or operations. You are a key line of defense in keeping your organization secure. This training requires no experience, no technical background, and no prior knowledge. No matter where you are in your understanding of cyber risk, this course is for broadening your horizons to have a better practical understanding of how cyber risk is present in your daily work and how you can reduce it.
Course participants will learn through real-world attacks and breaches that have impacted utilities and organizations just like yours, examining what happened, how it unfolded, and, most of all, what could have been done differently. Participants will gain understanding of the most common cyber threats facing utilities today, how attacks typically begin, and what warning signs to watch for in your daily work. They will also learn how your individual actions can either reduce or increase organizational risk, what to do when something seems suspicious, and how cybersecurity best practices apply across every job function.
This course helps every utility employee, at every level, become a confident and informed part of their organization's security.
