Energy New England (ENE) on Dec. 1 announced new partnerships with Littleton Water and Light Department in New Hampshire and the Midcoast Regional Redevelopment Authority (MRRA) in Maine.
These additions follow ENE’s recent engagement with the Holden Municipal Light Department (HMLD) earlier this year as the cooperative continues expanding its support for public power utilities across New England, ENE said.
"With deep expertise in wholesale power supply, risk management, and ISO-New England market operations, ENE equips municipal utilities and public agencies with the tools and insights needed to navigate a rapidly evolving energy sector. From market strategy to sustainability planning, ENE is dedicated to helping each client deliver reliable, cost-effective, and forward-thinking service to their communities," it said.
“We are pleased that these systems chose the top-notch team here at ENE to assist them with their power supply and market service’s needs, and to help them continue providing high-quality service to their customers. We pride ourselves on working with each client individually to tailor a portfolio that aligns with their long-term goals,” said John Tzimorangas, CEO & President of Energy New England.
“Partnering with ENE gives us access to unmatched expertise and the resources of the largest electric cooperative in New England. Their guidance will help us strengthen reliability, manage long-term costs, and prepare for a more dynamic and innovative energy future for the Littleton community," said Lori Hogan, CEO and Treasurer, Littleton Water and Light.
Daniel Stevenson, Executive Director, Midcoast Regional Redevelopment Authority noted; “As MRRA continues to redevelop and energize the former Naval Air Station Brunswick property, having ENE as a partner brings tremendous value. Their deep knowledge of the ISO-New England markets and their commitment to public power utilities will help us support business growth, advance sustainability goals, and maintain a resilient energy system for the Midcoast region.”
ENE said it looks forward to supporting Littleton and MRRA as they enhance customer offerings, pursue environmental and sustainability goals, and strengthen reliability for the communities they serve.
ENE’s programs include home energy assessments, electric vehicle initiatives, wholesale energy procurement and risk management, regulatory advocacy, and integrated sustainability planning.
