Naperville, Illinois’ public power utility is using artificial intelligence to improve services and forecast electricity load growth.

Tantalus Systems recently announce that Tennessee public power utility EPB is expanding its existing partnership with Tantalus to deploy TRUSense Ethernet Gateways (“TEGs”) across its service territory.

On July 28, the U.S. Department of Energy issued an emergency order to PJM Interconnection under which PJM will, in coordination with Talen Energy, operate Unit 4 at the Wagner Generating Station in Maryland “as PJM deems necessary beyond its environmental run-hour limitations through October 26, 2025.”

The average historical volatility of the daily Henry Hub front-month futures price, a key benchmark for U.S. natural gas, trended downward through the first half of the year, with quarterly volatility falling from a recent high of 81% in the fourth quarter of 2024 to 69% by mid-2025, the U.S. Energy Information Administration recently reported.

GE Vernova and Crusoe, the industry’s first vertically integrated AI infrastructure provider, recently announced a deal to deliver 29 units of GE Vernova’s LM2500XPRESS aeroderivative gas turbine packages to Crusoe AI data centers.
