EnergySolutions, a provider of nuclear services, submitted to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) a Notice of Intent (NOI) confirming its plans to submit an application for a major licensing action for new nuclear generation at the Kewaunee Power Station (KPS) site in the Town of Carlton, Kewaunee County, Wisconsin.

The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection on Jan. 30 released a final Request for Proposals seeking proposals to provide zero carbon electric power from nuclear, hydropower, solar, onshore wind and associated transmission, and/or paired and co-located energy storage systems.
