The PJM Interconnection has filed a proposal to update capacity auction rules for consideration by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission as part of the grid operator’s Periodic Review process.
In furtherance of the Imperial Irrigation District’s (IID) strategic objective to deliver reliable energy service long into the future, the California public power utility's Board of Directors has approved a plan to fully replace just over 8,000 wooden power poles across its vast service area over the next five years.
Austin Energy added a record 18.8 megawatts (MW) of new local solar power to the grid this year -- "an unprecedented achievement that reflects Austin’s growing investment in renewable energy, community collaboration and innovation," it noted on Nov. 10.
