Sen. Joe Manchin (I-WV), chairman of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, and Senator John Barrasso (R-WY) ranking member of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, on July 22 released energy permitting legislation.
The Energy Permitting Reform Act has been under negotiation for several months.
In addition to the text, the bill authors also provided a section-by-section summary and a one-pager on the legislation.
The bill includes proposals on:

- Onshore Energy and Minerals
- Offshore Energy
- Electric Transmission:
- Electric Reliability
- Hydropower
The American Public Power Association said it is reviewing the bill and will share additional details with member utilities.
