The Northwest Public Power Association Board of Trustees has appointed Kieran Connolly to serve as the interim executive director for the association, effective Aug. 7.
NWPPA’s current executive director, Scott Corwin, had been selected to lead the American Public Power Association as its newest president and CEO. Corwin’s last day with NWPPA will be Aug. 11.
Connolly spent 30 years at the Bonneville Power Administration and retired in 2022; most recently he served as the vice president of generation asset management. In this position, he led over 100 staff in five organizations, including strategic direction, workforce planning, and budgets, while being responsible for river operations planning and execution for over $2 billion of annual energy production.
His other roles as vice president of generation asset management included congressional testimony, legal and regulatory filings, and press interviews.
