Marcus Harris recently joined Energy Northwest as Chief of Executive Projects.
He previously served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at the Bonneville Power Administration, overseeing the agency’s $2.5 billion annual operating budget, $1 billion annual capital investments, $15 billion debt portfolio, credit ratings, investor relations, budgeting, accounting and treasury functions.
Prior to that he served as BPA’s deputy chief operating officer overseeing 31 hydroelectric projects, 15,000 miles of transmission infrastructure, and the largest fish and wildlife mitigation program in North America.
In his new role, “he will play a pivotal role in advancing Energy Northwest’s partnerships to develop small modular reactors, as well as in supporting Columbia Generating Station’s extended power uprate and second license renewal efforts,” Energy Northwest said.
Energy Northwest is a Washington state public power joint operating agency. Energy Northwest comprises 29 public power member utilities, serving more than 1.5 million customers, and provides its members and regional customers with power generation and innovative energy and business solutions.
The agency owns and operates hydroelectric, solar, battery storage, wind and the Northwest's only nuclear power facility. Energy Northwest also actively supports transportation electrification and new generation projects to the benefit of public power.
