The Energy Innovation Working Group (EIWG) brings together representatives from public power utilities to provide input, share technical guidance, evaluate opportunities, and define barriers to the transition to a high resilience and low emissions electricity delivery system while maintaining reliability, affordability, and safety for public power utilities. This year, the EIWG is focused on updating the Public Power Energy Transition Roadmap, a framework produced by the EIWG in 2022 to assist public power utilities in achieving low-emission, resilient, and cost-effective electricity systems. Additionally, the group is focused on addressing efforts related to gird operations, reliability, resiliency, and recovery for public power utilities with new energy programs, including advising APPA’s Energy Innovation efforts.
If you would like to volunteer to participate in the Energy Innovation Working Group or if you have any questions, please contact APPA’s Energy Innovation Staff at EnergyTransition@PublicPower.org.
