Energy Storage
OCI Energy and Texas public power utility CPS Energy, along with LG Energy Solutions' U.S. energy storage division, LG Energy Solution Vertech, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on May 26 to memorialize their collaboration on the Alamo City Battery Energy Storage System project.

The City of Columbia, Mo., has named Erin Keys as its next Utilities director. Keys started in the role on May 25.
Electricity Markets
The Midcontinent ISO on May 25 issued a load shed request (temporary power outages) of approximately 600 MW in Louisiana to investor-owned utilities Entergy and Cleco Power to maintain the reliability of the bulk electric system.
Distributed Energy Resources
AES Corp. has entered into two long-term power purchase agreements to support Meta's data centers with 650 MW of solar projects that AES is bringing online in the Southwest Power Pool market.
