A look at the self‑reported data from more than 240 public power utilities that voluntarily participated in the American Public Power Association’s 2025 Safety Awards of Excellence program. Participation in the program is optional, and as a result, the data presented only reflect the practices and outcomes among utilities that applied during the 2025 cycle.
These snapshots show the average incident rate and DART rate for all 2025 applicants, as well as a breakdown of the utilities that submitted data and which safety practices were common among them.
