The Tennessee Valley Authority released an existing generation resource Request for Proposals for firm capacity and energy offers between 50 MW and 1,000 MW.
Proposals in response to the RFP will be due by June 4, 2026.
The agreement lengths will vary for periods between December 2026 and December 2031. Proposals are also requested for the extension of existing agreements with dispatchable generating resources interconnected with TVA’s transmission system.
This RFP is targeting existing power generation sites that can offer firm, dispatchable power such as natural gas, nuclear, hydro, or coal.
For this RFP, the power will need to be ready as soon as December 2026, and the contract duration can vary from 1-month to several years.
