Staff at the Sand Lake Energy Center in Florida recently surpassed 12,000 days without a lost-time accident, demonstrating a commitment to effective safety practices and operating efficiently, the Florida Municipal Power Agency recently reported.
“We’re tremendously proud of the entire team at Sand Lake Energy Center for this achievement,” said Jacob Williams, General Manager and CEO of FMPA.
“It’s a significant milestone, demonstrating the entire team’s commitment to workplace safety dating back to day one of the facility. It is an honor to have such a testament to their skills and dedication, and our Members benefit from this every day,” he said.
FMPA in 2024 took ownership of the Orlando area natural gas combined cycle generation plant. The plant has a capacity of 120 megawatts.
