Dan Beans, Electric Utility CEO for the City of Roseville, California, has been named as a member of the National Petroleum Council.
“I’m honored to be appointed to the National Petroleum Council and to help represent the public power perspective in an important national forum,” said Beans.
“The Council’s role is to advise the U.S. Secretary of Energy on oil and natural gas issues, and I believe it is essential that those discussions include the voice of community-owned utilities—organizations that are deeply focused on reliability, affordability, resilience, and the public good. I’m proud to serve and to help ensure public power has a seat at the table in shaping the nation’s energy future.” he said.
