The PJM Interconnection opened the bidding window on Dec. 4 for its auction to procure capacity for the June 2027 through May 2028 Delivery Year.
The offer window will close at 5 p.m. Eastern Time on Dec. 10, and results will be reported on Dec. 17 after 4 p.m. Eastern.
PJM’s capacity market, called the Reliability Pricing Model, secures the appropriate amount of power supply resources needed to meet predicted energy demand ahead of the delivery year, the grid operator noted.
