NPPD Sends Crews to Help OPPD With Power Restoration Efforts

Nebraska Public Power District on June 27 reported that it provided mutual aid to Omaha Public Power District to support power restoration efforts following heavy storms that knocked out power to residents of the state.

A total of 13 line technicians from Plattsmouth and South Sioux City reported to Omaha the morning of June 27 to begin work, NPPD said.

On June 28, OPPD reported that power had been restored to 98% of customers after Tuesday's storm hit the Omaha metro. The number of customers without power stands at 835, down from its peak of 37,239, it said.
