Texas public power utility New Braunfels Utilities is accepting applications for its NBU University program, set to begin on January 16, 2024.

NBU University is a series of once-a-month classes, for five months, at various NBU facilities for the utility’s customers.

The program will enable participants to better understand how the utility operates.

Participants will receive interactive learning experiences through case studies, site tours, group discussions, and hands-on experiences.

Public Power Current recently profiled a similar program that California public power utility Turlock Irrigation District offers to its customers through its Customer Academy.

The program allows TID customers to get an inside look at the utility’s operations and insight into how and why TID makes decisions on behalf of customers.
