A Massachusetts television station recently highlighted the Northeast Public Power Association’s Training Center in Littleton, Mass.
WCVB’s Chronicle segment shows how NEPPA lineworker apprentices prepare for the demanding and essential career of linework, NEPPA noted in a social media post.
“From climbing 40-foot poles to working safely around high-voltage equipment, becoming a lineworker takes skill, focus, and a serious commitment to safety,” NEPPA noted.
NEPPA is a non-profit trade organization serving community-owned electric utilities within all six New England states and New York.
Since 1965, NEPPA has been supporting and connecting its members by providing high-quality, low-cost training and events, advocating for policies and federal legislation in the best interest of public power and showing up in times of need with a reputation for rapid Mutual Aid response.
Its members include publicly owned and member owned utilities as well as a diverse range of companies engaged in the electric industry and its associated sectors. NEPPA's best-in-class training facility is located in Littleton, Mass.
