At a Northeast Public Power Association Board Meeting this month in Biddeford, Maine, the NEPPA Board elected two new board members.

The NEPPA board is again at the full 21 members after electing Tom Flaherty, general manager of Massachusetts public power utility Westfield Gas & Electric Light Department-whip city fiber and Jeff Brining, general manager of Connecticut public power utility Norwich Public Utilities.

The two board members who retired in the fourth quarter of last year were Panos Tokadjian, Operations Manager of Hull Municipal Lighting Plant and Chris Larose, who served as General Manager of Norwich Public Utilities.

“As President of NEPPA’s Board of Directors, I’m thrilled to announce the unanimous election of Tom Flaherty and Jeff Brining,” said John Tzimorangas. Along with serving as NEPPA Board President, he is also President and CEO of Energy New England.

“Their commitment to Public Power in the Northeast is top notch, and we welcome their industry expertise and leadership,” he said.
