Lincoln Electric System has issued a request for information related to wind and/or solar projects that could potentially leverage outgoing federal tax credits if contracted through a power purchase agreement with a proven developer.

Although there is no limit on the projects that may be submitted, the Nebraska public power utility’s preference is for information regarding projects with:

  • A nameplate rating between 50 MW(AC) and 150 MW(AC)
  • A PPA term of 20-30 years
  • A location within the Southwest Power Pool footprint, and
  • The ability to secure the Federal Clean Electricity Investment Credit or Federal Clean Electricity Production Credit.

Responses to the RFI are due by July 21, 2026.
