California’s Lassen Municipal Utility District announced the appointment of Nick Dominguez as the new General Manager. He assumed the position effective November 12, 2024, after the departure of Robby Hamlin, LMUD’s previous GM.

Dominguez brings over a decade of experience in the energy sector, having held various leadership roles that demonstrate his expertise and commitment to community owned power.

Most recently, he served as the Director of Power Supply Resources at Central Coast Community Energy, where he was responsible for managing the power supply resources of nearly 450,000 customers throughout the central coast.

Previously, he held several key positions at LMUD, including IT Manager, Business Manager, and Co-Interim General Manager.

His tenure at LMUD was marked by significant achievements, including the successful implementation of the District’s first automated Outage Management System, Automated Metering Infrastructure and development of the District’s strategic plan.

Dominguez also championed the District's communication efforts within the community and led initiatives in cyber security and the modernization of the District’s IT systems.

“The board is excited to welcome Nick back to LMUD in his new role as General Manager,” said LMUD Board President, Daren Hagata. “Nick is well respected by the Board of Directors and staff; we are pleased to have such a dedicated employee take the reins of LMUD as GM and are confident that he is capable of leading us into the future.”

“I am both honored and humbled to have the opportunity to serve our communities in this capacity,” said Dominguez. “I believe that being served by a community-owned electric utility is a tremendous benefit to our area and one that many California residents don’t have. LMUD has a pivotal role to play in the growth of our communities and I am enthusiastic to be leading the way.”
