The Indiana Municipal Power Agency on June 3 celebrated a major milestone with a ribbon cutting for its first-ever Battery Energy Storage System at the Richmond 6 Solar Park.

“Our system has the capability to output 6.0 MW of energy and store up to 24 MWh,” IMPA said in a post on LinkedIn.

“This project represents another step forward in advancing innovative energy solutions for our member communities,” it said.

IMPA thanked the City of Richmond, Indiana, Richmond Power and Light “and everyone who joined us to celebrate this exciting achievement.”
