The Board of Trustees of Greenville Electric Utility System has appointed Tyler Hjorth, P.E., as the utility’s new General Manager, the Texas public power utility reported on April 21.
Hjorth brings a strong background in public power and municipal utilities, along with a commitment to customer-focused service. He currently serves as the Director of Utilities for the City of San Marcos, Texas, overseeing electric, water, and wastewater operations.
A graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station, Hjorth earned his electrical engineering degree with honors and has built a career centered on system reliability, infrastructure investment, and operational excellence.
“We are excited to welcome Tyler to GEUS,” said Sue Ann Harting, Chairperson of the GEUS Board of Trustees. “His proven experience in building a customer service-based environment, combined with his extensive background in infrastructure upgrades, makes him the ideal leader to guide GEUS into the future.”
Hjorth will assume leadership of GEUS operations, "continuing the organization’s long-standing commitment to providing reliable, affordable electric, internet, and streaming services to the Greenville community," GEUS said.
