The Florida Municipal Power Agency has received a Top Workplaces of Central Florida award, presented by the Orlando Sentinel Media Group. This is the sixth consecutive year the Agency has been recognized as a Top Workplaces recipient.

“We are so proud to be recognized as a Top Workplace of Central Florida for the sixth year running,” said Jacob Williams, CEO and general Manager of FMPA. “As FMPA has grown, we have remained focused on the mission of providing low-cost and reliable power to our member cities which our team members take ownership in delivering. Through our own engagement efforts, we have seen a workforce who continues to find fulfillment in servicing our Florida members and communities.”

The award was presented on September 19 at a recognition luncheon hosted by the Orlando Sentinel media group.

“Each year, through the Energage survey, our team members have shared valuable feedback that helps guide the Agency and highlights what they value most as employees of FMPA,” said Sharon Adams, FMPA chief people and member services officer. “Six years of strong participation and exceptional satisfaction scores reflect the strength of our workplace culture. Being recognized as a Top Workplace in Central Florida is an honor we deeply value and look forward to continuing.”

Recipients of the Top Workplaces award are selected based on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage, LLC. The confidential survey uniquely measures 15 culture drivers that are critical to the success of any organization including alignment, execution, and connection.

FMPA currently employs 115 employees in Central Florida.
