Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Chairman Mark Christie announced on June 2 that he has learned that President Trump has nominated Laura Swett to replace him when his term expires.
Christie made the announcement through a post on the X platform.
Christie said he will remain on the Commission for a few weeks after June 30 to help get key orders out.
Swett, a former FERC staffer who was a senior legal advisor to Commissioner Bernard McNamee, is currently practicing law at Vinson & Elkins where she primarily represents pipeline companies.
