Conway Corp employees recently came together to support Stuff the Bus, a school supply drive organized by United Way of Central Arkansas (UWCA) to benefit students in local schools, the Arkansas public power utility reported on Aug. 12.

“The annual campaign helps ensure children in Faulkner and Perry counties have the tools they need to succeed – because no child should have to start school without the basics,” the utility said.

Conway Corp employees raised more than $1,000 worth of much-needed classroom supplies, including pencils, crayons, dry-erase markers, glue sticks, corded headphones, loose-leaf white paper, 3-ring zipper binders, backpacks, Kleenex, antibacterial wipes and hand sanitizer. These essential items will be delivered directly to classrooms and students in need.

“Education is the foundation for a strong community and we believe every child deserves the opportunity to start school with the tools they need to succeed,” Conway Corp CEO Bret Carroll said. “I’m proud of our employees for stepping up once again to support United Way’s Stuff the Bus campaign and for showing what it means to truly invest in the future of Conway.”

"Thank you to all Conway Corp employees who donated or helped Stuff the Bus. This generosity is making a difference in the lives of local students and teachers," the utility said.
