Construction on Nebraska Public Power District’s (NPPD) Norfolk-Stanton North transmission line is complete, NPPD said on Jan. 6.

The eight-mile, 115 kilovolt (kV) transmission line runs from the Norfolk substation on the east side of Norfolk to the Stanton North substation northwest of Stanton.

The new line will accommodate current and projected future loads and provide additional reliability and enhanced resiliency for the Stanton, Cuming, and Burt County areas.

A map of the final route and additional information on the Norfolk-Stanton North Power Project can be found on the public power utility's website.
