The Center for Energy Workforce Development (CEWD) and the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) on Aug. 12 announced a strategic curriculum-focused partnership to address workforce development needs in the energy sector.
“This collaboration brings together the combined expertise of both organizations to create a shared approach to meeting the growing demand for skilled energy professionals,” CEWD said.
“From this partnership, aspiring energy professionals will be equipped with essential, industry specific skills and knowledge to ensure a highly competent and job-ready workforce. By aligning their industry-recognized resources, CEWD and NCCER will support the development of a sustainable and skilled talent pipeline capable of tackling the energy sector’s evolving challenges,” CEWD said.
Boyd Worsham, president and CEO of NCCER, said, “Working with CEWD to develop this curriculum was a natural step in addressing the energy sector’s growing workforce needs. Together, we’re building a program that equips aspiring craft professionals with the skills that employers need and prepares them for long-term success.”

This collaborative effort underscores both organizations’ commitment to fostering a skilled and sustainable workforce for the evolving energy industry.
The CEWD is a non-profit consortium of electric, natural gas, nuclear, and renewable energy companies, and their associations, committed to the development of a skilled, diverse energy workforce.
