Six Northeast Public Power Association Board members were re-elected and one new board member was elected as a new board member.

The action took place on August 17 at NEPPA’s Annual Business Meeting, which was part of its 2026 Annual Conference in Hyannis, Mass.

NEPPA has 21 board members with three-year terms and each year it elects or re-elects seven members to the board. 

This year, the six board members who were re-elected were:
•    Elier Alvarado, Jewett City Dept. of Public Utilities, CT
•    Jeff Brining, Norwich Public Utilities, CT
•    William Bottiggi, Braintree Electric Light Dept., MA
•    Kimberly Holmes, Taunton Municipal Lighting Plant, MA
•    Lynn Paradis, Village of Swanton Electric Department, VT
•    Kenneth Stone, Middleborough Gas & Electric, MA

Martin Berry with Madison Electric Works in Madison, Maine, was elected as a new board member.

In addition, Tom Flaherty of Westfield Gas & Electric Light Department in Massachusetts was elected to fill an opening on the board created by a retiring board member.

Also, NEPPA’s five Board officers were elected to two-year terms ending in August 2028:
•    President: Kenneth Nolan, Vermont Public Power Supply Authority, VT
•    First Vice-President: Anna Henderson, Kennebunk Light & Power District, ME
•    Second Vice-President: William Guertin, Clear River Electric & Water District, RI
•    Treasurer: Penny Jones, Village of Morrisville Water & Light Department, VT
•    Secretary: Michael Cloutier, Middleton Electric Light Department, MA
