The American Public Power Association is seeking nominations for the association's 2026-2027 Board of Directors.

Nominations are being sought for the following regions:

•    Region 3: Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota
•    Region 4: Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Texas
•    Region 5: Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia
•    Region 6: Arizona, California, Nevada
•    Region 8: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont
•    Region 9: Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington

The Nominating Committee will meet virtually in February 2026 to consider nominations for new Board members. The Committee's recommendations for new Board members will be presented to the association’s membership at the annual business meeting held in June during APPA’s National Conference.

Nominations are due no later than February 9, 2026. 

Directors are normally elected for three-year terms and are eligible to serve two consecutive terms. Any director who has served five or more years consecutively is not eligible for re-election until a period of one year has elapsed.

In addition to the nomination form, a chart is posted here that lists Board members who will continue on the Board, those who are eligible for re-election, and those who are not eligible for re-election.
