West Memphis Utilities (WMU) officially launched its new Customer Information System on November 2, marking an important step in modernizing utility operations and improving the customer experience.

The new system introduces redesigned online account access, updated payment capabilities and additional tools designed to make managing utility services easier and more convenient for customers, the Arkansas public power utility noted.

The new Customer Information System offers several features and service enhancements, including:

  • Redesigned Customer Portal: Customers can access their utility accounts through a new online portal with updated account information and convenient account management features.
  • Expanded Payment Options: Through Invoice Cloud, customers will have access to an updated online payment experience. The new system also supports additional payment options designed to provide greater flexibility.
  • Prepaid Utility Service: Through Exceleron, customers will have access to a prepaid utility option that does not require a traditional deposit. This gives eligible customers another way to manage their utility expenses.
  • Customer Engagement and Notifications: SpryEngage provides additional opportunities for WMU to communicate important account information, service updates and other notifications to customers.
  • Improved Outage Visibility: Through UtiliSmart, customers will have access to enhanced information about  electric service outages, helping provide greater visibility into service interruptions.
  • Self-Service Payment Kiosks: WMU is also introducing payment kiosks, beginning at its main office, with  plans to expand kiosk availability to additional locations throughout the city in the future.

“Launching this new system is an important investment in how we serve our customers and manage utility operations,” said Bob Atkins, General Manager of West Memphis Utilities. “We want to provide our customers with more convenient ways to access their accounts, make payments and stay informed. This system gives us additional tools to improve our services while positioning WMU for the future.”
