The Board of Trustees for the North American Electric Reliability Corporation on Oct. 26 adopted foundational computational load reliability standards.

The standards, which advance the reliable integration of computational loads onto the grid, passed final ballot on October 14.

NERC will soon file the reliability standards for Project 2026-02 Computational Loads with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission for final regulatory approval.

Additional information on project details and important dates related to Project 2026-02 can be found on NERC's website.

Kyle Turpin, Manager for Energy Policy and Reliability Standards at the American Public Power Association, is a member of NERC’s standard drafting team that was tasked with the creation of computational large load reliability standards.
