Florida Municipal Power Agency (FMPA) has been named as a recipient of the Top Workplaces of Central Florida award, presented by the Orlando Sentinel Media Group.
The Agency, celebrating its seventh consecutive recognition, also moved up in the rankings, going from 32 to 28 in the “Company Size 35-149” category.
“Our Team Members continue to show outstanding support for the work they do, and the services they provide through the Florida Municipal Power Agency,” said Jacob Williams, CEO and general Manager of FMPA. “Our continued recognition in Top Workplaces of Central Florida validates our culture of service, our commitment to our Members, and our team who takes such pride in serving millions of Floridians with affordable and reliable energy.”
The award was presented on October 1 at a recognition luncheon hosted by the Orlando Sentinel media group.
“We are proud to be recognized as a Top Workplace in Central Florida for the seventh year in a row,” said Sharon Adams, FMPA chief people and member services officer. “What makes this recognition so meaningful is that it comes directly from feedback from our team members. The Survey tool gives them an opportunity to share what we’re doing well and where we can continue to improve and every year we take that feedback seriously. The team’s high participation , along with our continued improvement in the rankings, reinforce what I see every day—our team members care about FMPA, the work we do and the members we serve.”
Recipients of the Top Workplaces award are selected based on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage, LLC. The confidential survey uniquely measures 15 culture drivers that are critical to the success of any organization including alignment, execution, and connection.
FMPA currently employs 128 employees in Central Florida.
