Technology company Oracle on Oct. 2 announced a commitment to subscribe to a portion of the existing Point Beach Nuclear Plant’s electricity generation. The plant is located near the city of Two Rivers, Wisconsin.

Oracle said the action is expected to save Wisconsin utility customers approximately $300 million in fuel costs.

The planned commitment builds on Oracle’s broader investment in Wisconsin through Project Lighthouse, its data center development in Port Washington.

Oracle’s planned subscription to a portion of the Point Beach purchase power arrangement remains subject to approval by the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin.

Oracle said it will fully fund Project Lighthouse’s energy costs to protect ratepayers’ electricity bills and support grid reliability.

In December 2025, NextEra Energy Resources said it reached a new agreement with WPPI Energy to continue supplying WPPI Energy with electricity from the Point Beach Nuclear Plant in Wisconsin.

WPPI, a joint action agency that serves 51 locally owned utilities in Wisconsin, Iowa and Michigan, currently takes 168 megawatts of the plant's nearly 1,200-MW output.

Under the agreement, WPPI will continue to take 168 MW into the 2050s.
