MentorAPM, an asset intelligence software platform purpose-built for water, wastewater, electric and other critical infrastructure, is expanding its partnership with the Commonwealth Utilities Corporation in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
Since 2024, MentorAPM has supported CUC's water and wastewater operations.
The partnership now extends the company's enterprise asset management platform to CUC's electric power generation facilities, creating a unified approach to managing critical infrastructure across essential services.
Under the agreement, CUC will also deploy MentorAPM's AI-powered MentorLens™ asset inventory and condition assessment solution across its water, wastewater and electric operations.
"The platform will provide operators with greater visibility into asset condition, helping prioritize maintenance, reduce operational risk, support more informed investment decisions and strengthen the long-term resilience of critical infrastructure," MentorAPM said.
Island and coastal utilities face a unique combination of aging infrastructure, constrained resources, supply chain challenges and increasing exposure to severe weather and other disruptive events – challenges CUC has confronted firsthand in the aftermath of Super Typhoon Bavi, the Category 5 storm that struck the CNMI in July 2026 and caused extensive damage across Rota, Tinian and Saipan.

CUC provides electric, water and wastewater services across the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, communities that continue to recover from Super Typhoon Bavi’s direct hit on Rota.
The new deployment will support five power generation facilities -- three on Saipan with a combined capacity of 36 megawatts, one 20-megawatt facility on Tinian and one 6.5-megawatt facility on Rota. Together, these sites operate approximately 30 power generation engines and the supporting infrastructure required to provide reliable service to approximately 12,000 customer accounts.
