The Southwest Power Pool is extending a Conservative Operations Advisory for the West Balancing Authority Area (BAA) through an anticipated end time of Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 12 a.m. CT.
Conservative Operations Advisories are considered stable operating conditions and do not require the public to conserve energy or take any action, but are issued to raise awareness of potential threats to reliability among entities responsible for operating transmission and generation facilities.
This Conservative Operations Advisory for SPP’s West BAA went into effect Monday, July 20, at 11 a.m. CT.
SPP issued a Resource Advisory for its East BAA effective Saturday, July 25 at 12 p.m. through the evening of July 30 at 7 p.m.
