Cowlitz PUD is partnering with local organizations to support the immediate families affected by a chemical tank implosion at the Nippon Dynawave Packaging paper mill facility in Longview, Washington, that occurred during the early morning hours of May 26.
Cowlitz PUD noted that in partnership with the PUD Credit Union, Red Canoe, LCLFCU and Fibre Federal, donations are being collected.
“Every contribution helps support families during this difficult time,” the Washington State PUD said in a Facebook post.
According to local news reports, the implosion resulted in 11 fatalities.
