The City of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Wastewater Treatment Plant has been recognized by the Bonneville Power Administration and Idaho Falls Power for major energy efficiency upgrades, resulting in reduced consumption and substantial cost savings.

Through participation in BPA's energy efficiency program, the city received a $128,738 incentive to be reinvested back into our community.

Projects like this do more than reduce energy use, the city noted. “They lower long-term operational costs, strengthen essential infrastructure, and help keep utility rates stable for residents and businesses. That kind of efficiency is foundational to a community where businesses can grow and families can thrive,” it said.

“The continued partnership with BPA and the collaboration across City teams help make Idaho Falls a strong, forward-thinking place to live, work, and build,” the city said.
