Tampa Electric and The Energy Authority will purchase wholesale power from the Florida Municipal Power Agency starting in mid-December and continuing through January and February.
Both opportunities enable FMPA to sell excess capacity and reduce costs for All-Requirements Power Supply Project (ARP) participants.
This will be the second consecutive winter for TEA, and the seventh consecutive winter for TECO, under a power purchase agreement with the ARP.
