The Senate Energy & Natural Resources Committee on Sept. 11 voted to advance the nominations of Laura Swett and David LaCerte to be Federal Energy Regulatory Commission commissioners.
Both nominations were advanced by votes of 12 to 8, with Republicans supporting the nominations and Democrats in opposition.
The nominees now await further consideration by the full Senate.
