Fitch Ratings recently affirmed the high “AA” rating for the city of Lakeland, Florida’s, electric system revenue and refunding bonds, highlighting the utility's resilience and robust financial standing, Lakeland Electric reported this month.
Fitch's assessment indicates that Lakeland Electric is well-positioned to maintain its “AA” rating, projecting continued stable financial performance without the need for additional debt.
With capital expenditures set to moderate in the coming years, Lakeland Electric is on a path of sustainable growth, ensuring a reliable and affordable electric service for its customers, the utility said.
“As Lakeland continues developing its energy solutions, residents can feel confident knowing their utility is financially sound and dedicated to meeting the energy needs of the community efficiently and responsibly,” the utility added.
