The Georgetown Municipal Light Department Board of Light Commission has named Mary Snow as Acting General Manager of Georgetown Municipal Light Department, a Massachusetts public power utility, following the May 29, 2025 retirement of former General Manager Dave Schofield.
Snow joined Georgetown Light in 2015 as a Business/Customer Service Coordinator and was promoted to Business Manager in 2020, and Assistant General Manager in January 2025. Before joining the department, she worked as a Customer Service Coordinator and Referral Program Manager.
As Acting General Manager, she will continue to direct strategic initiatives to optimize the utility’s operations and long-term growth while ensuring high customer satisfaction.
Her professional affiliations include the Northeast Public Power Association where she serves as a member of the Member Value Committee, and the Municipal Electric Association of Massachusetts where she is a member of the Communications and Energy Services Committee.
She has also completed Northeast Public Power’s Public Utility Management Program and was recognized by the organization with the prestigious Francis "Skip" Wiley Individual Achievement Award.
“I am grateful to have built and continue to grow the relationships with the people of Georgetown and have great pride in calling this place my hometown,” Snow said. “I look forward to the challenges and responsibilities that come with the position of Acting General Manager of the department, and am grateful to the Light Board for its support.”
