Energy New England announced that, effective July 1, 2025, ENE it began providing wholesale power purchase, conservation and rebate services for Holden Municipal Light Department.

The Holden Municipal Light Department is a town-owned electric utility serving only Holden, Massachusetts. Established by Town Meeting in 1911, HMLD began delivering electricity in 1912 and is one of 40 municipal light departments in the Commonwealth.
HMLD serves over 8,600 meters with approximately 105 million kilowatt-hours annually and annual revenues exceeding $16 million. The Holden Board of Selectmen serves as Light Commissioners, with support from the Municipal Electric Power Advisory Board.
